Dunkin' Donuts Park

Location: Hartford, CT
Project Completed: 2017
Size: 200,000 SF

In the summer of 2014, the city of Hartford selected the Pendulum/SLAM/Newman team to design a new 6,000+ seat baseball stadium in downtown Hartford. Located at the intersection of Main and Trumbull in a currently stagnant section of the City referred to as Downtown North (DoNo), Dunkin’ Donuts Park serves as an anchor tenant and catalyst for $360,000,000 of proposed new development that will include housing, retail, and commercial uses. The state-of-the-art 200,000 SF, $71 Million ballpark features team offices, athletic training facilities, press boxes, luxury suites, several dining and entertainment options, and a team store.

The park faces East Southeast, ensuring the best views of the downtown Hartford skyline in addition to impeccable views of the playing field. Several seating options are available, from outdoor and covered party decks, luxury suites, box seating and general admission seats to a giant slide, crafts section and goat petting zoo for families and children in Centerfield. With an eye towards year-round use, the ballpark will feature amenities allowing the venue to be used for outdoor concerts, movies, ice skating, and a host of other activities.
