Healthcare Planner

The Senior Healthcare Planner will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and administering a major project or projects through all phases of healthcare planning. Oversees the master planning, programming and healthcare planning/design on given projects, and where applicable, gives direction to assigned staff. Resolves architectural programming/planning problems. Will work with Project Managers to establish and maintain design budgets and schedules. Has client contact and may direct, control, and monitor healthcare planning activities. Strong ability to multi-task and prioritize.

Job Summary:
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and engaging with affiliate users and teams in delivering services; to creatively solve problems, bringing state of the art healthcare market intelligence to the project team.

Key Skills:

• Demonstrate understanding in processes across inpatient and outpatient departments;
• Understand and guide discussions in institutional, ambulatory, and business occupancy environments;
• Perform complex programming, planning, design and development and documentation activities of broad scope including programs, spreadsheets, drawings, procedure manuals, and coordination with hospital/medical facility users;
• Work with end users to outline program process flows as well as critical adjacencies of clinical spaces;
• Lead the planning process for the internal design team;
• Serve as the main point of contact for the client on planning issues;
• Develop presentation materials and present to various audiences and lead complex special projects as assigned;
• Serve as internal expert and advisor.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Bachelor and/or Master of Architecture from an accredited program;
• Minimum of 7-10 years of healthcare planning experience healthcare programming and planning of small and large-scale, complex healthcare projects;
• Strong presentation, communication, organizational, team building, collaboration and communication skills are a must;
• ACHA accreditation preferred, but not required.
