Contract Administrator

Los Angeles, CA

SLAM is seeking a Contract Administrator to support our Los Angeles office. The right candidate will possess an understanding of industry vernacular, have good communication skills to deal with internal staff and external clients, and will be organized with great attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Accurately prepare, maintain and organize project proposals, contracts and amendments while complying with established firm and client standards;
  • Manage project web-based program (eBuilder) and contract workflows for numerous projects simultaneously;
  • File Management – Maintain organized electronic files for multiple projects;
  • Assist in closeout of projects.

Key Skills / Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of Contract Management support experience, preferably in the architectural or construction industry;
  • Basic understanding of financial principles and contract language;
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently;
  • Ability to prioritize work to accommodate deadlines with minimum supervision;
  • Professional phone manner while demonstrating discretion and confidentiality;
  • Ability to multitask in an ever-changing environment;
  • Excellent oral & written communication skills;
  • Proficiency and working experience in Word and Excel and strong computer skills are a must;
  • Working knowledge of Vantagepoint (Deltek) is a plus, but not required.

The ideal candidate will be friendly, organized, detail-oriented, able to multi-task and work independently, and have an upbeat, “can-do” attitude. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential.
