SLAM and Perkins&Will unveil community healthcare hub in suburban mall

(Rochester, N.Y) – Architect of record SLAM (The S/L/A/M Collaborative), along with project partner and design architect Perkins&Will, unveil plans for the new University of Rochester Orthopaedics & Physical Performance Center. Phase one of the outpatient campus will be located in a former Sears retail space at the Marketplace Mall in Henrietta, New York. Once complete, it will be one of the largest outpatient orthopaedics facilities in the Northeast.

SLAM Construction Services receives 2021 DBIA New England Award

GLASTONBURY, CT – March 9, 2022 — S/L/A/M Construction Services (SLAM CS) received the Design-Build Institute of America New England Region (DBIA NE) Gold Award for the design and construction of the Chapel Haven Schleifer Center SAIL building project, located in New Haven, Connecticut. SLAM CS accepted the award at the 2021 Design-Build Project Awards Banquet held on March 3, 2022, at the Sheraton Framingham, Massachusetts.

Marc Clear has been named Sports Practice Leader, Dane Hawthorne has been named Sports Design Leader, Emily Burton will serve as Director of Business Development for Sports + Recreation, and Bobby Carter will continue as the Director of Sport Facilities. Emily and Bobby Carter will support Marc and Dane in the continued growth of the sports market, with an emphasis on building and maintaining client relationships.
