SLAM promotes leader to Principal

Ellithorpe, AIA to Principal.  Cathie, based in the firm’s Glastonbury, Connecticut office, joined SLAM in 1994, and has developed an expertise in the public education and corporate sectors. A member of the Professional Women in Construction, Connecticut Chapter, Cathie has recently received the 2021 Woman of Achievement Award.

SLAM Landscape Architecture & Planning Studio Expands West, to Denver

DENVER, CO, December 2, 2020 – The S/L/A/M Collaborative (SLAM), a national multi-disciplinary design firm, takes the next step in its strategic plan to grow the integrated practice across nine offices, with the expansion of the SLAM Landscape Architecture & Planning Studio (LA&P) to 1900 Grant Street, Denver. This location is part of a recent acquisition of five CBRE | Heery architectural design studios, focused on healthcare, sports facilities and justice, adding to SLAM’s existing education, corporate, healthcare and sports/recreation expertise.


Hathaway Dinwiddie / HED / SLAM begin construction on UC Irvine’s new College of Health Sciences Complex

November 10, 2020, Irvine, Calif. -- Hathaway Dinwiddie Construction Company, architecture and engineering firm HED, and architecture firm The S/L/A/M Collaborative (SLAM) announce that construction is under way on a landmark, nine-acre health sciences complex at the University of California, Irvine (UCI), that promises to be a national showcase for integrative health patient care, training and research. Hathaway Dinwiddie Construction Company is an ENR top-ranking design builder.


SLAM names five new principals

GLASTONBURY, Conn., October 20, 2020The S/L/A/M Collaborative (SLAM) has recently named five new principals located in our Atlanta, GA, Denver, CO, Iowa City, IA, Orlando, FL, and Philadelphia, PA offices.  On March 6, 2020, SLAM completed the acquisition of five CBRE I Heery architectural design practices focused on healthcare, sports facilities and justice, adding to the firms existing education, corporate, healthcare and sports/recreation practices. These five new Principals, and approximately 70 Heery employees, joined SLAM’s team of 210 professionals.
