SLAM developed an integrated series of environmental mural graphics for Henry J. Winters Elementary School to support a new STEAM‑focused learning environment and create a strong sense of identity for students and staff. The graphics are woven throughout circulation and shared spaces, using color, imagery, and theme‑based storytelling to reinforce orientation, encourage curiosity, and reflect the school’s values. Designed to engage students at multiple age levels, the graphic series transforms the building into an immersive educational environment that is approachable, legible, and rooted in community.
at-a-glanceThe environmental graphics establish a clear identity for the school while supporting intuitive wayfinding. Distinct graphic themes help define different learning neighborhoods, making the building easier to understand and navigate for young students.
