Having an integrated Architectural/Structural Engineering Studio, our design thinkers can get and receive critical structural design input during all phases of a project, from architectural planning and preliminary design to final preparation of construction documents. Our engineers use state-of-the-art technologies to analyze, design and specify structures, while respecting schedules, collaborating across disciplines, and remaining sensitive to sustainability issues. Our project experience includes structural design, building renovation and rehabilitation, structural evaluations, historic renovations and peer reviews.

Ensuring a smart structural design translates to an efficient and safe structure for its occupants. By creating an “early detailing package” during the design phase, we provide clients much tighter bids, reduced detailing time, faster shop drawing turnaround time and approvals, and reduction of structural system construction time and cost.

SLAM design-build team completes lighthouse surgery center

Hartford, Conn. – Jan. 15, 2020 – S/L/A/M Construction Services (SLAM CS) and the design-build team, joined Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center, a member of Trinity Health Of New England, on Tuesday, Jan. 14 at the ribbon cutting ceremony for the 35,000-square foot, $26 million Lighthouse Surgery Center at 129 Woodland Street in Hartford.
